A few weeks back, in a moment of “Let’s see if I can still do this,” I decided to climb the stairs to my apartment. Since I live on the 4th floor, and since I hadn’t tried in a while, I psyched myself up for the challenge. Let’s just say that by the time I reached my floor, I was sucking wind and my legs were ON FIRE! What happened to me? In Brook’s analogy, I was feeling pretty darn old…

The quadriceps are four of the most powerful muscles in your entire body. Commonly referred to as your thigh muscles, the quadriceps work together to help you do all sorts of things that you might take for granted, like standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Weak quadriceps can throw the hips and knees out of whack, leading to pain in both places, as well as in your lower back.

This week's Take 5 Yoga video is all about strengthening your quadriceps. In under 5 minutes, we'll work the inner, outer and middle thighs. Are you ready?
