Heroes take journeys, confront dragons, and discover the treasure of their true selves.

February 10th marks the start of the Chinese Lunar New Year, and 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. This mythical creature, revered for its power and grace, embodies strength, ambition, and unwavering determination. It soars above the ordinary, inspiring us to reach for the extraordinary within ourselves.

The dragon's strength is not just brute force, but a potent blend of physical and spiritual power. It represents the ability to overcome adversity, navigate challenges with courage, and ignite our inner fire to achieve our goals.

Throughout this year, we are invited to harness the dragon's spirit and cultivate our own inner strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit.

One powerful way to tap into this dragon-like energy is through the Tai Chi-inspired pose known as "Dragon's Breath." This practice, like the dragon itself, awakens our core strength and inner fire. As we twist our torso, simulating the dragon's powerful movements, we channel our energy inwards, igniting a furnace of power within our core. The forceful inhalation and exhalation, synchronized with the punching motion across our body, further invigorates our spirit, mirroring the dragon's mighty breath.

Celebrate the Lunar New Year with me now as you practice my most recent Take 5 Yoga video, Dragon’s Breath.

Dragon's Breath is a reminder that true strength lies not just in our muscles, but deep within us, waiting to be awakened. As we begin the Lunar New Year, tap into your own fire. Take a deep breath, twist, punch, and awaken the mighty dragon within!
