Want a Simple Way to Eat Healthier? One of the easiest and most effective things you can do for your health is to eat according to the seasons.

When you eat in season, you're getting fruits and vegetables that are at their peak ripeness and nutritional value. They're also more likely to be locally grown, which means they've traveled fewer miles to get to your plate, and they're often more affordable.

So what are some healthy summer foods that you may want to try? This week, I’m sharing a recipe for “Watermelon Arugula Salad.” This nutritional powerhouse relies on 3 main ingredients:

  • Watermelon: Not only is this refreshing fruit a tasty way to stay hydrated on steamy summer days, it's also packed with vitamins A and C.
  • Arugula: This dark, peppery green is a great source of vitamins A, C, and K. It's also full of antioxidants, which can help protect your cells from damage.
  • Mint: This tiny herb is a good source of vitamins A and C, as well as potassium. It's also a natural breath freshener and aids in digestion!
